Now that I've definitely identified my engine as a 66-67 283 I need to get a fuel pump for it. It seems like somewhere I heard that I've got to be careful as to what fuel pump goes on it. Supposedly some will fit but will be too powerful and overpower the floats in the carb causing flooding. Is there any truth to this and if so can anyone point me in the right direction? Or is it as simple as telling my parts guy I want a fuel pump for a 66 Chevy?
