Choose a hole that suits your fancy.

For example:
- place the battery so the positive lead (that goes to starter) is orientated to the front of the truck.
- the negative lead will be rearward of the battery box.
- use a hole in the side of the frame rail that can be easily bolted into.

However, I went for overkill on my 6v Suburban and ran the ground cable to a starter bolt.

If you have a 6v system, use no smaller/thinner than 2 gauge cables/straps - I use 00 gauge cables.
