I bought some 2” trailer perches awhile back, they were actually 1 7/8 wide. I put them on top of a 14 bolt, (3 3/8 tube), they actually fit pretty well. Also, a quick search came up with 1.75 perches o the Quadratec sight sight. I believe early Jeeps had 1.75 springs.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the tube diameter, your grinder and welder will forgive a lot. Just find what’s closest and go with it.
