What does the machine shop recommend for breaking in the engine? Most of them recommend breaking in the cam by running the engine at 2,000 RPM for 20 minutes before you ever drive it.
Breaking in a rebuild is different than for a new engine. A new engine has all new parts. A rebuild has an old block with a myriad of new parts and reconditioned old parts.
