For what my two cents are worth: Bought an '04 Chevy used last August. I saw the Rhino-liner plate on the inside of the bed and thought that I had something good there--stuff would not be sliding all over the truck bed. Well, guess what? You can't keep concrete blocks from sliding in the bed of that truck. So I go to the local Rhino dealer to find out what's up with this c**p. News Flash---there are two levels of Rhino. What I've got is the "car dealer" liner---the stuff that they blow in there when the dealer tells you he's gonna sweeten the deal & give you a bed liner. This stuff dries hard and turns gray/black in short order. The good stuff is what you get when you buy it yourself. It goes on semi-hard, stays tacky so stuff doesn't slide all over the truck bed, but it too does not stay a dark black. I believe for running boards, I would stay with paint or powdercoat.
