I wanted to add to my post about de-plating. When you get your grill back it will look like they've ruined it. It will be black and sootie. Also there will be specks of chrome remainig. These we remove with a media blaster in our case but you can use a hand sander. We media blast the whole thing and then parkerize it. This gives the meatal on the part teeth so paint sticks to it very well. You will have to use high build primer on it but with work it will be as slick as a ribbon. Good luck
