This was a work truck with added towing equipment, so I figured maybe he had mounted spares (either truck or trailer tires) inside the box. This is my new to me 3200 bed sides with no fender cut out.
They do look a little close to the front, but have a place for a lock. Or at least it looks like for a lock.
I don't know what you mean bartamos, It is on my 55-2 but bed sides are pretty much the same on great number of years. This is a long bed. And no there isn't a outside the bed mount on mine.
