A similar arrangement to that would let you control it easier than trying to manhandle it. I would throw a strap around the ends of the beam and over the cab to keep everything together. I used my engine hoist to lift the front clip with radiator still installed off my truck. Even the lightest cherry picker hoist you could find would probably handle the cab weight.
