I came across a '41-46 GMC speedometer to use in my '40 Chev. However, the cable connection is much larger. This is about 7/8" diameter, my Chevy is much smaller, more like 5/8. Is the larger size normal for the GMC pickups? The one I got is supposedly for the big CCKW trucks. Might it be specific to those?
I'm guessing I can have a cable made up but I need to better identify what the connection at the speedometer is.
