| | | | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 892 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 892 | I recall reading somewhere that from the early sixties to mid eighties the IFS was mounted to the front cross member. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to swap the whole ball of wax into an AD truck.
Making that swap would solve a bunch of problems associated with my V8 engine swap as it would move the steering box and I could use a power steering box and maybe a hydroboost for the brakes too.
I know some of the bigger one like school buses I once worked on had torsion bars and that probably wouldn't work but the ones with coils might. I suspect that the front track would be wider but how much?
