Just did a grease job/oil change last month Carl, before the weather went south.
The cork seals still look just fine, still in place, not cracked, no shrinking. I'll snap
a new photo in the morning when the sun comes up to show their present condition.
I lost all of the original photos when my confuser crashed several years ago, so
I can't date exactly when I rebuilt the front springs and made those seals. But....it
had to be close to 10 years ago. I can tell you, that I've put about 16k on Old Blue
since I did the front spring work.
Lots of alternative parts are offered to rebuild our trucks, but based on my experience
the best ones are the ones that duplicate the original parts in design and material.
