Bill, I agree about bc/cc being the best, but I think that's kind of a hindsight in jfnar's case, as I believe he has already started painting his parts.

I hope you used hardener in your enamel. In my experience I've found that color sanding enamel works best as soon as you can do it. I've noticed that after a full cure period, it sands harder. I don't know what brand of paint you are using, but stick with a recommended clear for that brand. I'm mostly a PPG/Omni guy. Sanding and compounding can be done after 24hrs dry time @ 70deg. A urethane clear would be acceptable over enamel. If possible try to find a tech sheet on whaterever product you're using. If your supplier can't or won't provide you with tech. info, find a new supplier.
