I found an axle at the junkyard from a C10 truck that I am more than likely going to purchase for my 54 3100. I'm sure the axle will work for me but it would be nice to know what year it is from if and when I ever decide to buy a ring and pinion. It has independent front suspension and coil over shocks in the rear. It does have a removable third member which to my knowledge is not very common in Chevy axles but I could be wrong. All that is left of this truck is a frame, axle, and engine. Is there a way to tell what the year of the truck is? I already looked for the numbers on the axle and I cannot make them out.
