Bob, If you had told us this at the start of your question it would have saved a lot of time. The pedal configurations go by motor year and size and not by truck year. You need to buy the pedal for the '55 ( assuming you have the linkage from the '55). J.C. has these pedals P/N FL115 photo attached.
If you do not want the '55 pedal then you will have to modify your linkage (cut & weld connector) to fit the pedal you want to use. Harold
