The GMC water pump is a little bit of an odd ball.........so the cost is higher than the Chev water pumps. If you have access to a press the rebuild kit for $80 is not a bad choice.
I set mine in to guy on eBay exchange for rebuilt with the proper size pulley think it was $120 all in. The kit was not readily available when I did mine. They are actually more common now than a few years back and the price has come down but still pricey. Places like Rock Auto, Napa and others did not have and do not have any stock or parts now or then.
FIlling Station has them in stock for $169 complete which appears to be about the going rate. Or without the pulley $99 but means you need access to a press or puller and knowledge to ge the pulley on and off with damaging the pulley or the bearing etc.
