I'm unsure of what would be the average quantity, Due to installed remote filters or oil coolers, But Our 53' takes just over 5qts.
Put in 4qts and check the stick. keep filling gradually and run the engine until your satisfied with the level.
Wouldn't hurt to record the oil quantity once you find what is acceptable with a paint marker on the firewall or keep a note in the glovebox
