I am currently replacing the brake hoses on my 1958 Chevy Viking 6500. It has dual wheel cylinders at each wheel. I have discovered that the original brake hoses,
both front and rear, are 3/16 id. The new replacement hoses are all 1/8 id. The front hoses are also 1 1/2 inches shorter than the originals. Not having a degree in fluid transfer engineering, I am concerned that he reduced inner diameter may adversely affect braking. Could volume and or pressure changes due to a 1/16 inch reduction in diameter cause a problem?
