I removed the original electrical water temp gauge from a 51-52 GMC (also, it was positive ground truck..) It was an original gauge/sending unit setup!
I am going to use that electric gauge in my '50 Chevy 3600 restoration, which has been converted to a 12v system. Will any chevy temp sending unit do, or do I need to find a 6v sending unit? If so, it will require a Runtz on the gauge, just like the fuel gauge, right? I did post something about a month ago along these lines, but I don't think I was clear on what I was trying to do.
