Auto Twirler is a great product, but if you are going to only work on a frame, you can build your own. Think engine stands. If you have a couple of engine stands you can make new rotating parts for them and use the engine stands.
I made mine in a couple of hours with scrap parts I picked up at work. I haven't used it yet, but I think it will work very well for doing the finish work on my frame.
Check out my build pictures and look at 5 of 20 and you will see them leaning against the front of the frame. The two support pipes are 1 1/4 inch scg 40 pipe. They are welded to a piece of heavy rectangular tube. The rotating parts are two pieces of pipe (I thing 4" and 3 1/2" by 6' long)that fit one inside the other with a 3/4 inch through bolt as the clamping devise. The end plates are 1/2 inch thick. I will weld an angle to the rectangular plate and attach the frame to the angle.
I should be using it in a month or so. I will report on how it works then.
