I tried using rubbing alcohol on a few parts one day to remove some of the oversprayed paint from some of the parts, and it seemed to do very well.
It's a bunch cheaper than Lacquer Thinner, so I figured why not use it.
I got quite a bit of overspray on the clear back-up light bezels, so I decided to take a Tupperware type dish and put the bezels in that, submerged in the alcohol and let them sit for several days.
Man, that was a BAD mistake. It looks like the alcohol was steady eating away at the plastic, and the lens is no longer clear at all. It has a white smoky appearance to it now.
Guess I'll hafta make-do temporarily until I can buy new ones.
I ended up "brush-painting" the inside housing of the taillights and backup lights with a Chrome paint. Had I known in advance that I'd be doing that, I'd have removed the bezels before spraying.
I know I could have also masked them off, guess I was just in a hurry. I'll know better next time.
