I have a 62 C10 with a three speed tranny and I am curious if anyone has ever swapped a stock tranny out for a Muncie 4 speed. I've heard of it being done but was curious what some benefits would be and how people have gone about doing it themselves.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure many have done the swap to a 4 speed. Wait patiently and someone who has done it will chime in.
I'm curious. Are you unhappy with your current 3 speed? Has the 3 speed been acting up or maybe broken? The extra gear with a 4 speed will not be of any benefit for highway driving since 4th gear will be 1:1 ratio just like your current 3 speed.
What are your reasons for changing the transmission?
