I have a '67 Chevy C10 SWB Fleetside, with a '68 bed box on it.
The outside body has some dents and dings, and probably can be fixed by a professional, although one side appears to have some bondo in it, where the "lines" are close to the cab.
The tailgate looks almost perfect on the outside, and has the stamped "Chevrolet" which I really like. Unfortunately, the bottom of the inside of the tailgate is rusted out, with holes, at the bottom of the gate, almost all the way across. I don't know how to repair that.
It has a Steel bed floor, and the floor is rusted out with holes, as well as the front bed panel where they join.
The rest of the inside of the bed box looks terrible, but isn't rusted really bad. I think I can take care of all that with some serious elbow grease.
Is it possible to clean and repair the rusted out holes in those areas, and if so, what's the best procedure?
Also, I see a lot of trucks in car shows that have bed boxes from newer trucks. Is it a huge problem doing this?
