My friend has a 292 out of a 1971 c10 for sale. It has a 3 speed trans. It runs really nice and he only wants like $200. What will be needed to do this swap? My truck has a 235 and an automatic. I saw somewhere that trucks after 1948 the transmission will bolt up to the newer inline 6's. Don't know if this is true or not. If it will not bolt up what trans would you suggest?
