My point was that the new repro hinges were garbage.
The truck was an old farm field truck with broken cab mounts and lots of loose parts. Some of the pins on the hinges were worn almost 1/2 way through.
After rounding out the oval holes and making select fit rivets, the old hinges were better than the new ones because they had been made correctly in the first place.
