The 1957 TDB does not state black bed and steel skid strips, but the B&W illustration shows them both being much darker (black) than the paint and both the boards and strips matching in color. Same for Cameo Carrier bed.
Were the inner bed-walls painted body color in standard bed trucks? The inner-bed and end/tail-gate walls all look to be dark-black in the Cameo Carrier bed illustrations?
