I have just begun to swap the 216 in my 52 Styleline for a rebuilt, solid lifter 235 from a '54 truck. I've read about swapping the flywheel and bellhousing from the 216 over to the 235 because later 12v starters and flywheels won't work with a 6 volt starter. I have converted my car over to 12 volts but have still been running the 6 volt starter. If I swap over to a 12 volt starter during the swap does that eliminate the need of swapping over the flywheel and bellhousing from the 216?
