What is the WMS-to-WMS of your stock axle?
I would think that the Camaro/Nova variety would be too narrow for a 3/4 ton, but I don't know much about the later GMC trucks though...my '50 3/4 ton had an axle considerably wider than the standard 1/2 ton (63" wide).
