HEY Notjustair, I'm a new to this stuff so I cant really help you with your headache but, I'm havin trouble finishing a motor project on a '55 GMC 250 I got last year and maybe you can help me???? . Can you tell me about your distributor? I rebuilt the one that was on the floor of the cab when I got my truck and now that the head is done and carb rebuilt and everything is buttoned up, I would like to try and start it. But thats not gonna happen right now because the new cap doesnt seem to fit right. I've double checked the part numbers and the rotor and cap are the right ones but it seems the rotor is too tall, and the cap is kinda loose??? By any chance, is there a point cover that sits between the points and rotor? Something like on an early Ford dist. That would explain the headache I'm havin??? Sorry I cant help you with the pump as this motor is pretty new to me. Good luck, Mark
