Thanks. The caps on mine were custom made by my Dad. He's a retired sheet metal worker, he also made the tailgate cap.
I'm going to take a guess and say that the caps from LMC are most likely for a short box, parts for the long stepsides are somewhat hard to find, especially for the '54-mid'57 that had the 7 1/2 foot bed.
