The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Pulling engine/tranny

I'm looking for help from those with experience with pulling the engine /trans in one piece. Truck is a '57 LCF, original 283 and 4 speed. Do I have to remove the top cover from the trans for clearance. I removed the shift lever and parking brake lever but I'm wondering if I can get enough angle to clear the floor support. With the doghouse out of the way there is lots of room directly above the trans but as the engine will have to angle up I can't tell if it will clear.
