I almost caught my shop on fire from a stray spark a few weeks ago. I was actually using my table saw and had nicked a nail with the blade. I hadn't cleaned out the dust in the cabinet for a while, and it had about an inch of sawdust in the bottom. I went in the house for a few minutes and when I came back the smoke was thick blue. The spark had started a smoldering fire in the cabinet of the saw and I almost lost a perfectly good shop, not to mention a perfectly good Rockwell Unisaw. The concrete underneath was quite scorched.
