835M- - -1953-55 235 engines. "Shim set FSM 124S required"
960M- - -1956-62 235 engines No shim set required.
The "10" indicates the bearings are for a crankshaft ground .010" under standard diameter. The "shim-required" bearings will have a dowel pin made onto the upper bearing shell which fits into a recess drilled in the block. The later style bearings have anti-rotation tabs made into the upper and lower bearing shells which fit into slots milled into the block and the main bearing cap at the parting line between the block and the cap.
