#12147 05/05/2003 4:08 AM | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,377 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,377 | Another thing you might consider since you are going through the brakes is if your truck still has the huck style brakes is to convert to the 51-up bendix self energizing system. These are better brakes and are avaliable at all parts stores. It will be a bolt in and just get the complete backing plate/drum assemblies from a junkyard. I have a complete system from a 51 that I plan on intalling on my 37 if I dont go to modern drivetrain and autozone had the shoes and drums in stock,it is something to consider. Jeff | | |
