I'm wanting to try to start the truck by bypassing the key in the cab. We have some major wiring issues that need to be addressed (re-wire in order) and I really don't want to energize the whole system. I purchased a remoter starter switch (two alligator clips, hand held switch) that I was hoping to act as the key being turned on in the cab. My son will still use the stomp start in the cab, but when I flip the remote start switch on, it will energize the coil. It this done by simply connecting one clip to the positive battery terminal and the other clip to the + side of the ignition coil? Do I need to run a jumper wire from the starter to the coil also?
