I was thinking along the lines of CNC machined 1/16th or 1/8th flat stock stainless steel. Cut the leading edges to duplicate the shape of the stock bars. Use 3 pieces for each bar. It would be expensive, but it would look cool.
I like that idea but I dare say it would be heavy too,i've seen some custom fender spears done like that in aluminium
