For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2017 Posts: 4 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2017 Posts: 4 | Greetings, I am a new member looking for some help. Our volunteer fire department in Western NYS has a 1935 Ford Firetruck in mint condition with the exception of the U40 Barton front mount pump. Several decades ago it was left outside in the winter and froze causing the gears to crack. The broken parts were removed and lost to time.
I'm working to get the pump operational again and am looking for advice- I have read some great posts and advice on this forum re: Barton pumps and am hoping someone can help me. I have the operating manual already which has been helpful. Does anyone have spare parts or a surplus pump to sell? Is there a company or individual who works on there and rebuilds them?
I have pictures available and would appreciate any advice or guidance! Thanks so much and I look forward to being here with you all!
