The hood on my 46 came apart after liberal coatings of penetrating oil and opening and closing it while trying to slide one half of the hood with the other. It will eventually come apart. This by the way is with the hood off the truck completely and someone else helping me. I had to replace a few rivets as well and realign the hinges.Be careful as the hood warps very easy.
