Hy Frozone, it sounds like you have already checked out the truck fairly well. The air brakes will make the restoration easier, check to see what wheels and tires the truck has. Heavy cast wheels (Dayton) were the factory standard but it might have all steel wheels (Budd) wheels which use an inner and outer nut system on the rear axle.
