If you have the codes, I've had very good luck with my PPG distributor finding the formulas from the corporate headquarters. The names changed frequently, GMC and Chevy of the same years used the same colors with different names. GM also discontinued colors, only to bring them back in later years with new names.( Sport Beige of the mid 40's was reborn as Khaki in the late 50's exact formula)
I always use PPG Concept DCC single stage with a hardener, and the matches are great.
IMHO, most everyone can see the differences between single stage and clear coat, and antiques don't have clear coat.
