For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 88 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2017 Posts: 88 | I recently did the roller bearing conversion to my 54 Chevy 3100. I really like the idea and how it turned out. The kit I bought was cheap no name Chinese bearings that were not so cheap. I would much rather have the bearings in an SKF or Timken brand. I think the outer bearing could be sourced in those brands without much trouble but I tried and could not find the inner bearing. For anyone not familiar with those bearing they have an extended inner race for the grease seal to ride on and a heavy internal chamfer. Has anyone ever seen these bearings in a good American Brand?
Thanks | | |
