All this stuff sounds OK for an emergency and quick repair. I am guessing your truck is in pretty good shape to start with if it has passed your inspection over there, pretty tough as I remember. A long time ago somebody asked this question and by the time it was over, the guy would have needed a trailer to haul all the stuff on the list.
The best way to prepare is do all the usual checks, insure the battery, charging system and fuel systems are in good shape and drive it as much as you can to disaster test everything. The more you drive it the better it will run and the more confidence you will have. My attitude is that at one time these trucks were state of the art and would go anywhere and do anything asked of them. They can still do it now, so go for it.
If you are anywhere near the Aschaffenburg Castle, how about posting a picture of your truck in front of it????
