Those three pointed-studs might be helpful if you have a head liner that does not have holes in it for the visor/visors attachment screws.
You can position the head liner into position and press it upwards towards the pins - remove the headliner, and then drill the holes into the headliner, and then locate/cut/drill the hole you have to make for the visor spring/mechanism.
