Started to mount my new 15 X 6 wheels today, and discovered that they won't fit over the massive finned brake drums on the 1979 4WD six bolt rear axle that I installed in my 54. I am thinking that if I can find a non-finned six bolt drum from an earlier year such as a 1970, it might just interchange. It's an 11 inch drum. I haven't checked shoe width yet, but I think 2 1/2. I know there are other solutions such as wheel spacers, but I'd rather not go that route.. Anyone else solved this problem??
