The 194/230/250/292 distributors starting in 1963 do not engage the oil pump drive tang deep enough. The lock down flange can be turned off and an item specific hold down from Speedway costs about 20 bucks. The vacuum advance on the 1964 is internal while the 1962 and older moved the whole distributor. Most people that go to the later distributor just move on to the HEI since the exact amount of work is required.
