I have a related question. I have the bracket on top of carb and understand how that part works to secure the choke and hand throttle cables.
However, once you thread the hand throttle cable through the linkage rod, and secure the end with a cable stop....is there anything else that's supposed to hold the linkage rod to the carb's throttle lever? My truck used to have a small cotter pin through there, so that's the way I put it back together. But that seems to be incompatible and doesn't allow the hand cable to slide up and down. My short term solution is just skipping the hand throttle cable and putting the cotter pin in that hole.
Gotta be missing something. The hand cable stop doesn't seem sufficient to hold the linkage rod to the carb's throttle lever.
