I have a 53 chevy 1/2 ton with a torque tube
The frame cross member has a bracket that the the 53 manual describes as a tranny support but I do not see where it hooks up to the tranny....in some vendors catalogues one piece is described as the tranny mount plate . ..but the plate has an additional curved plate with two holes that something attaches to but I don't know what?
If I lay this curved plate against the universal ball cover then the holes line up but there is no way that i see it can be hooked to the crossmember if it was installed on the ball cover .
Hope this is understandable.
Anyone have a picture they could post ?
This was not hooked up when I bought the truck.
