On a 52, the ignition switch only energizes the ignition system. (juice to the points)
The headlights and stomp starter, etc. will work with a bad, or good ign. switch,, off or
on.
Anyone could jump in any 47-54 truck and turn on the headlights, or hit the foot starter and the motor will spin.
It takes the key to make it start and get ya rollin.
Or a hotwire fromm the battery to the coil.
