I thought Rodfather wanted his truck to "look" like a 1948 Chevy truck so he could enter the NSRA events. I agree, do what you want with YOUR truck, but if you think putting the 47-53 fenders & grill on your 54 will make it "look" like a 1948, well there are a multitude of differences (see above). (P.S. my "49" truck has many different year truck & car parts on it.)
