I have done a frame-off rebuild on a '53 3/4 ton flatbed. Most everything is complete at this point except I need to connect the gas pedal to the carburetor. "Carolinestruck" in a post on May 8, 2006, bolted a plate to the engine block. The plate had a bell crank attached to it. On one end, the gas pedal attached to the top bell crank arm. At the other end, a Lokar cable attached to the bottom arm of the bell crank and terminated at the carburetor. I am wondering if others have used this approach or do they have a better solution.
