Just before I read your post I was moving a bunch of hockey sticks around and haVing hockey on my mind ,I thought of skate guards when I was reading Maybee a silly Canadian thought but they do make cloth skate guards with velcro to hold them on and I think it would work and if forgotten would not damage window .
